Buxus microphylla 'Japonica' - 40mm tubestock plants
This evergreen shrub is an excellent hedging plant, looks good in pots and is great for topiary. It grows in full sun or part shade, has moderate water needs, is wind tolerant and frost hardy to -23 degrees. Excellent for hedges and screens. Suitable for a wide variety of situations including coastal conditions. It grows to a height of 2m and width of 1.8m and can be hedged to any height. These plants have been pruned to promote compact bushy growth.
Garden experts agree that buying small plants is a great option as they settle in the garden better and have less chance of suffering from transplant shock. Also when planted as advanced specimens many plants fail to establish the same anchoring root system as those planted as tubestock.
